What you are booking

A gospel quartet in the South Carolina convention tradition — close harmony singing carried by the family that has held the name for more than sixty years.

Live, that becomes a full band: voices out front, rhythm section behind, a repertoire that moves from traditional quartet numbers to original songs like “Don’t Leave Me” and “I Found The Lord.”

Available as the full band or as an acoustic duo when the room is smaller.

The men in the first photograph

There is a picture in the family archive, sepia and cracked at the corners, of five men in pale suits. Nobody in it is still singing.

They started in the quartet convention circuit of South Carolina, in an era when gospel groups moved church to church with their suits pressed and their harmonies tight. Everything The Flying Clouds do today started in that room.

The name has been travelling ever since — passed down, and now carried by the generation that grew up hearing it.
